Your groin pain is due to muscle tightness to the hip adductors (muscles then pull the thighs to the midline). Walking becomes painful because your hip adductors are actually restricting the movement. To address the pain and tightness, first apply hot packs over the area for 20 minutes. This helps relax the muscles. Heat also addresses the pain. Perform some light stretching exercises on your hip adductors.
